Meryl Streep made a rare mention of Martin Short in a new interview!

If you don’t know, the 76-year-old star is currently promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2, in theaters on May 1.

During an interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy asked if she’d ever return to Broadway.

Meryl was on Broadway a few times in the 1970s, and has done stage work since then.

Meryl responded, “Oh, I would love to do so. I was talking with Marty Short about that.”

She added, “We were thinking that would be fun to do something together.”

If you are not aware, fans have been speculating about Meryl and Martin‘s possible real-life relationship since January 2024 when they were at the Golden Globes.

They’ve been spotted together many times over the past couple years, but never officially confirmed if they’re dating or just good friends! If you don’t watch, Martin and Meryl‘s fan fave characters actually got married in a recent season of Only Murders in the Building.
