We’re getting a first look at Yahya Abdul-Mateen II‘s upcoming series!

On Thursday (April 16), Netflix debuted the trailer for the upcoming action series Man on Fire starring the 39-year-old Emmy-winning actor.

Here’s the synopsis: “Based on A.J. Quinnell‘s book series, Man on Fire tells the story of John Creasy (Abdul-Mateen). Once a high-functioning and skilled Special Forces Mercenary, known for surviving even the most desolate of situations, Creasy is now plagued with intense PTSD. Determined to overcome his personal demons, he sets out on a path to redemption. But, before he can adjust to this new life, he finds himself back in the fire, fighting harder than ever.”

“Creasy has no problems helping someone else, but when it comes to saying yes, allowing himself to be helped — that’s when we see him really struggle,” Yahya recently told Tudum.com.

The cast also includes Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor.

All seven episodes of Man on Fire hit Netflix on April 30.
