Bryce Alakai is opening up about one of his many viral moments with Zach Georgiou from this summer’s eighth season of Love Island USA.
The 30-year-old model and DJ and the 26-year-old rehab assistant had quite the bromance going throughout the whole season, after hitting it off on Day 1.
During the summer, Bryce and Zach had quite a few moments that made many viewers say that they were closer than they were to their couples and were the real couple of the season.
One moment in particular came in week three. While in the room where they all sleep, which doubles as the guys’ changing room, Bryce walks up to Zach, pulls his shorts open, and says, “Girth check.”
After Zach react at first, Bryce opened his shorts again, and Zach looked inside, followed by the two of them laughing.
Later on, the guys were sitting outside talking, and Zach said, “That f-cking snake you’ve got down there.”
Bryce asked, “What did you think of that?” to which Zach replied, “Long. It’s nearly f-cking my boner, that was. I’m not gonna lie.”
“Really? That was like my semi,” Bryce added. “It’s good sh-t,” Zach said.
In a new interview on Cosmopolitan‘s “Blind Date” series, Bryce spoke about their friendship and that girth check moment.
“I talk to him almost every day,” Bryce said. “Obviously, girth means circumference. I feel like people aren’t used to guys being either like more sensitive or more just like open like that. Where it’s like we’re just so comfortable that we don’t care. Hopefully, for some people, it’s refreshing to see that totally people can be that close on a platonic level.”
Bryce also previously talked about that moment during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live after the season ended.
“I didn’t know I got clipped doing that, so I was a little shocked, to be honest,” he said with a laugh. “But he’s my best friend; he’s such a good friend to me. It’s just the way we get through the emotional, the heaviness of the Villa, is these jokes.”
The girth check moment is likely one of many things to come up during the upcoming Love Island USA season eight reunion, which is set to debut on Monday (August 31).
The islanders will return all together to look back at their experience in the villa with hosts Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen.
