Lisa, RAYE & More Join 2026 VMAs Performer Lineup | Just Jared

Lisa and RAYE have joined the lineup of performers for the 2026 Video Music Awards!
On Thursday (September 17), MTV revealed additional performers alongside opening act Madonna will be part of the upcoming award show.
Lisa is returning to the VMAs stage for the debut of her new single, “SaWaDiKa,” while RAYE is making her performance debut! Lisa has four nominations this year and RAYE is nominated twice.
Who was added?
The latest additions to this year’s VMAs performers lists includes Lisa, RAYE, Shaboozey and Gunna, GENER8ION and Yung Lean, and Sienna Spiro.
According to the new press release shared by MTV and CBS, it sounds like all of the performers announced so far will be on the show’s main stage. But additional performers, presenters, and special guests are still to come so this is not the complete lineup!
What are they performing?
- Lisa is returning to the stage for the TV debut of her single, “SaWaDiKa,” from her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY, which will be released on October 23.
- RAYE will make her VMAs performance debut. MTV didn’t share what song she will perform, but she has been nominated in the Song of the Year category for “Where Is My Husband!”
- Shaboozey is making his VMAs performance debut with his single “Cowgirl,” and he will be joined by Gunna for the first broadcast performance of their “High Noon” collab.
- GENER8ION and Yung Lean will take the stage for the world premiere performance of STORM II.
- Sienna Spiro is also making her VMAs performance debut as she competes for Best New Artist. Her exact song hasn’t been revealed, but it will likely be off of her debut album Visitor.
Who else is performing?
Madonna will open the 2026 MTV VMAs with her first performance at an award show in over 20 years! She is this year’s ceremony opener and the last time she performed at the show was in 2003, featuring her iconic kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
She’s also the most nominated artist of the ceremony this year, with 11 nominations amid the release of her album Confessions II.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Snoop Dogg.
When and where can viewers watch?
The VMAs take place on Sunday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. They will be broadcast on CBS and MTV with live-access availability for Paramount+ subscribers.
