Kingston Rumi Southwick is revealing what he is hoping for in the upcoming second season of Widow’s Bay!

The 18-year-old actor plays Evan Loftis in the Apple TV horror comedy series, the son of Matthew Rhys‘ Tom Loftis.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the series was picked up for season two, and Kingston shared what he is looking forward to and what he wants for his character.

“I didn’t get to do a lot of horror specific things,” he told E! News. “I really want like some dumb something to happen to Evan. Another horror trope.”

Kingston also shared ideas for what the series could tackle in season two.

“Ghosts—that I really want to get into,” the actor said. “I know we kind of touched on a witch thing. It would be fun to see Kate do some more witchy things. And then even like a Shining-esque episode, somebody goes stir crazy on the island.”

While he won’t share what he may already know about season two, he is excited for what’s to come.

“I’m excited for him and it’s going to be a great season,” he said.

What Widow’s Bay is about

In Widow’s Bay, something lurks beneath the surface. Mayor Tom Loftis (Rhys) is desperate to revive his struggling community. There’s no Wi-Fi, spotty cellular reception and he must contend with superstitious locals who believe their island is cursed. He wants these people to respect him. They don’t. They think he is soft and cowardly. And he is. But Loftis is determined to build a better future for his teenage son (Southwick) and turn the island into a tourist destination. Miraculously, he succeeds: tourists are finally coming. Unfortunately, the locals were right. After decades of calm, the old stories that seemed too ludicrous to be true start happening again.

The cast also includes Kate O’FlynnStephen RootKevin CarrollDale DickeyK Callan, and Jeff Hiller.

Season one is currently streaming on Apple TV.
