‘Mr. Irrelevant’ Trailer: David Corenswet Stars as an Underdog NFL Rookie in New Movie Based On a True Story – Watch Now!

David Corenswet is taking on a real-life person for his upcoming movie Mr Irrelevant.

The 33-year-old actor will portray the late football player, John Tuggle, in the forthcoming movie, and the trailer was just released on Sunday (September 13).

What is Mr Irrelevant about?

Mr. Irrelevant is the inspiring true story of John Tuggle (Corenswet), the last player selected in the last round of the 1983 NFL draft by the New York Giants. A true underdog, Tuggle defied expectations on the field and off for his then first-year head coach, Bill Parcells, his newfound love, and his team, proving that remarkable hope and perseverance can transcend even the greatest challenges.

Who else stars in the new movie?

Alongside David Corenswet, the film also stars Michael Shannon as Coach Bill Parcells and Isabel May as David‘s love interest, plus David Krumholtz, Tuwaine Barrett, Thaddeus LaGrone, Alexander England, Spencer House, and Tandi Wright.

When does the film come out?

Mr Irrelevant, written by Nick Santora and directed by Jonathan Levine, is set to hit theaters on Christmas Day (December 25).
