Kate Walsh Moves Back to United States After Relocating to Australia

Kate Walsh is back stateside.

The 58-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress revealed that she is no longer living in Australia.

“Living on the beach for a long time as an extended postcard holiday was probably really good for my health in some ways. I was right by the sea and swimming every day,” she told Us Weekly.

“I’m back in New York now actually,” the actress, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on Grey’s Anatomy, went on to explain.

“I love the city and I find that it feeds my soul. It feeds me creatively and culturally. I love walking. In L.A, you’re driving all the time and you live in your car. So there’s outdoor hiking — which is great — but I love being back here in the city and being able to walk.”

“I get to do things and be with my love, [Andrew Nixon]. I have love in my life,” she told the outlet.

If you didn’t know, Kate traveled to Perth on March 14, just before pandemic border lockdowns took effect, and what began as a holiday turned into a permanent move after she met her fiancé.

According to The Daily Mail, Kate and Andrew started dating back in early 2020 after reportedly meeting on a cruise. Kate then re-located to Australia to quarantine with Andrew, who is part of the Nixon Farming, a family farming enterprise in Australia.

She is taking on a new comedy TV role as well for CBS called The Tillbrooks.

The pilot is described as “a historical spin on the classic multi-cam family sitcom” that centers around the upper-middle class Tillbrooks as they navigate life, love, and scandal in 19th Century England,” per Deadline. Get more details!
