The Royal family, including Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince William, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and more assembled on Tuesday morning (April 21) to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Charles‘ mother Queen Elizabeth II.
At the start of the day, King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla visited the British Museum to view design recommendations for the planned memorial in London.
According to People, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was there as well, in addition to members of the memorial’s committee, including designer Lord Norman Foster. They had the chance to view a scale model of the planned memorial along with artwork showcasing the designs.

The memorial is expected to be erected at St. James’ Park in London once it is completed in 2028.
Per the outlet, there is also expected to be a children’s trail and a new U.K.-wide charity launched in her honor called The Queen Elizabeth Trust.
Princess Anne opened another public memorial to Queen Elizabeth in Regent’s Park.
During the evening, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended a special reception held at Buckingham Palace.
