John Goodman had an impromptu run-in with another celeb!
Wizards of Waverly Place alum David DeLuise took to Instagram on Friday (August 7) to share a selfie with the 74-year-old Roseanne actor after they bumped into each other while shopping at a grocery store.
“He was my childhood!! Legend!” David, 54, captioned the selfie. “I love that I get to say that to someone 😉 if you know you know.”
Several fans were surprised by John‘s weight loss, with some not even recognizing the Emmy-winning actor.
“Is that John Goodman????” one fan wrote in the comments section. “He’s unrecognizable.”
Another wrote, “The best back then! He’s so skinny!!!”
In 2023, John spoke to Rolling Stone about his weight loss journey and revealed that he’s lost a total of 200 pounds since he decided to get healthy over a decade ago.
In 2016, he told ABC, “I just stopped eating all the time. I’d have a handful of food and it’d go to my mouth. I was just eating all the time. I was just eating alcoholically. In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a 6-pack of bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits. Then this time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore. And it gives me the energy to work, ‘cause work is very draining.”
