Jay-Z is checking out some soccer!

The 56-year-old “Young Forever” rapper made a surprise appearance at the Cote D’Ivoire (also known as the Ivory Coast) vs. Ecuador match during the 2026 World Cup on Sunday (June 14) held at Philadelphia Stadium in Philadelphia, Penn.

Jay was seen wearing a white T-shirt and jeans with a black sweatshirt tied around his chest paired with a white bucket hat and sunglasses as he appeared on the pitch before the match.

While on the field, Ivorian Football Federation President Yacine Idriss Diallo presented Jay with a custom jersey. Ivorian player Yan Diomande is signed to Jay’s ROC Nation Sports.

Ivory Coast ended up defeating Ecuador, 1-0. They will now travel to Toronto, Canada to face off against Germany on Saturday, June 20.

During a recent performance at the 2026 Roots Picnic, which marked his first solo concert in six years, Jay seemingly took aim Kanye West, Drake, and Nicki Minaj in a diss-filled freestyle rap.
