Dancing with the Stars is officially back for Season 35!

The long-running ABC dancing competition returns on Tuesday night (September 15) with a brand new cast of 16 celebrities competing for the Mirrorball Trophy.

This year’s cast includes Julia Stiles, Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Dewan, Tyler Cameron, Tatyana Ali, Taylor Hanson, Maura Higgins and more.

However, there’s a major change to the premiere this year, as the celebrities won’t all make their ballroom debuts on the same night.

When does Dancing with the Stars Season 35 premiere?

Season 35 kicks off with a special two-night premiere on Tuesday (September 15) and Wednesday (September 16).

Both episodes begin at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

ABC has confirmed that both premiere episodes will run for approximately two hours.

Why is the Dancing with the Stars premiere two nights?

There’s a twist to the Season 35 premiere!

The male celebrities will perform on Tuesday night’s first episode, with each star dancing to a No. 1 song from the year they were born.

One male celebrity will then be eliminated at the end of the night.

On Wednesday, the female celebrities will make their ballroom debuts, also performing to No. 1 songs from their birth years. One female celebrity will be eliminated at the end of the second night.

That means two celebrities will be eliminated during premiere week.

Here’s the confirmed schedule so far:

Episode 1 – “Premiere: Night One”
Tuesday, September 15 at 8 p.m. ET
The male celebrities perform for the first time and one contestant is eliminated.

Episode 2 – “Premiere: Night Two”
Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET
The female celebrities perform for the first time and one contestant is eliminated.

Episode 3
Tuesday, September 22 at 8 p.m. ET

Episode 4
Tuesday, September 29 at 8 p.m. ET

After premiere week, Dancing with the Stars will return to its usual Tuesday night schedule, with new episodes airing weekly at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.

How can you watch Dancing with the Stars Season 35?

New episodes of Dancing with the Stars air live on ABC and Disney+.

If you don’t watch live, episodes will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

When is the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 finale?

ABC has not yet announced an official date for the Season 35 finale.

The show will continue airing weekly on Tuesdays following the two-night premiere, and we’ll update this post once the network confirms when the finalists will compete for the Mirrorball Trophy.

Fans are getting even more DWTS content this season.

Season 34 winner Robert Irwin will host the new DWTS After Party, which premieres Wednesday (September 16) at 10 p.m. ET, immediately following the second night of the premiere.

The live after-show will feature eliminated contestants and break down the biggest moments from the ballroom. It will air on ABC and Disney+ and stream the following day on Hulu.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are returning as co-hosts for Season 35, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are back at the judges’ table.
