Jaafar Jackson got some family support at a hometown screening of his new movie Michael held on Monday (April 13) in Gary, Indiana.
The 29-year-old star of the upcoming biopic about his uncle Michael Jackson was joined by his dad Jermaine, uncles Marlon and Jackie, and his cousin Prince, who is Michael‘s eldest son.
If you recall, Jermaine, Marlon and Jackie were, of course, part of The Jackson 5 with Michael, with the group being portrayed in the movie.

In addition to the screening, held in Michael‘s hometown, the Jackson family also took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Sound Portrait Studio at West Side Academy, alongside Gary mayor Eddie Melton and Dr Yvonne Stokes, who is the school’s district, Gary Community School Corporation, superintendent.
Just a few days before, Jaafar attended the world premiere of Michael, which was held in Berlin, Germany, with Prince and his younger brother Bigi also attending. While Prince and Bigi seem quite supportive of the biopic, their older sister Paris has been critical of the project.
Michael “is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.”
The upcoming movie will hit theaters NEXT Friday (April 24). Watch the final trailer here!
