If you’ve been in need of hearing about some good in the world, look no further than Flavor Flav’s SHE Weekend, a four-day celebration of the accomplishments of female athletes during the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Hip-hop legend and Public Enemy rapper, Flavor Flav, came forward to give female Olympians and Paralympians the celebration they deserved and JustJared.com was there to experience it all.

For those who don’t know, Flav has been championing women’s sports for years. Back in 2024, he became the sponsor of the U.S. Women’s Water Polo Team after learning that they weren’t fully funded for their trip to the summer Olympics. His passion for supporting female athletes continued this year, when he sponsored the Bobsled and Skeleton teams at the winter Olympics.

After the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team won a gold medal and turned down a backhanded invite to the White House, Flav tweeted them a better invite. In his original post, he wrote, “If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite ,,, I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”

Well, in true Flavor Flav fashion, he upped the ante and invited all of the medal-winning female Olympians and Paralympians from the Winter Olympics, plus any of their male partners, as well as the Bobsled and Skeleton athletes he sponsored!

SHE Weekend was put together in just a few months with help from Flav‘s manager Rhiannon Rae Ellis, the incredible team of women working with her, sponsors like MGM Resorts, Delta Airlines, Dove, Signal, Invisalign, Gatorade, and Flav‘s longtime partners Planet Fitness and Lotto, as well brand agency 72andSunny, and production company Joe Lewis Company.

The celebration began with Flavor Flav lighting the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign in pink lights on the morning of Wednesday, July 15, signifying the start of SHE Weekend.

The next morning, Flav took a flight from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City, Utah to meet up with the athletes, who all flew to one place so they could arrive in Vegas at the same time. Delta Air Lines stepped in as the official airline of the event, surprising the athletes with a red-carpet gate take over in Salt Lake City and a dirty soda bar to enjoy before the flight. The flight was captained by an all-female cockpit and staffed by an all-female flight attendant crew.

After arriving in Las Vegas, Flav escorted the athletes to the Park MGM hotel, which would be their home for the weekend. Upon arrival at the hotel, they were all greeted with a heroes welcome, with people lining the halls of the lobby cheering them on, complete with signs, banners, and more.

The athletes all made their way to their rooms to quickly freshen-up, where they were greeted by welcome gifts from Dove, including all of the skincare products one could ever need, in addition to a plush robe, a Shark Chill Pill, and a Shark Glam hair styling system.

There wasn’t any downtime on Thursday though, because within an hour, they were on top of a double decker bus, riding down the Las Vegas strip in a parade!

Flav worked with the Las Vegas Board of Commissioners to shut down a portion of the strip for a celebratory parade, which ended in Toshiba Plaza outside of the T-Mobile Arena. Not only were Olympians and Paralympians included in the parade, but also local female athletes like the Las Vegas Aces, the Las Vegas Raiders’ Fierce squad, and young girls from local leagues, making it a celebration for all women in sports.

After the parade, the Olympians and Paralympians were welcomed to the stage one-by-one to receive a key to the Las Vegas Strip from Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. During the ceremony, Flav got emotional after being presented with a proclamation that declared July 16 as “Flavor Flav Day” in Las Vegas.

“The reason why we’re out here today is to celebrate these athletes because I don’t think nobody is celebrating them like the way they need to be celebrated. And you know what? Las Vegas, we’re going to give these athletes a celebration like they’ve never had before!” Flav told the crowd.

A Public Enemy concert on the plaza ended the event, before everyone moved to the On the Record nightclub inside the Park MGM hotel for an after party, where Flav was joined on stage by surprise guest Montell Jordan. The night also included entertainment from musicians Blu DeTiger and Grace Bowers.

And that was just the beginning.

Friday morning marked the opening of the SHE Lounge, a hub for the athletes throughout the weekend. The lounge hosted two days of guest panels featuring Fortune‘s Most Powerful Women, a gifting lounge, a glam suite, a portrait studio, a content studio from The Gist, and other partnership activations for the athletes, including the Nulo puppy lounge.

Fortune noted that the athletes were “hungry” for the information provided during the panels, which included a conversation about money-management. Panelists, who were all senior execs at major companies, offered to advise the athletes and connect them with potential sponsors. Some even offered apprenticeships to athletes!

After the panels, the entertainment for the evening began with a private dinner for the athletes at Westoria at The Cosmopolitan hotel, where Flav honored everyone with custom clock necklaces specially made by Shinola.

At the dinner, hockey team members Hilary Knight and Alex Carpenter presented Flav and his manager, Rhiannon, with custom jerseys!

While the athletes were at their private meal, MGM Resorts treated us to one of their other restaurants: Mayfair Supper Club at the Bellagio, which is where the SHE Weekend team also held their kick-off dinner. The brand-new venue is more than just a restaurant – it’s an experience. Dinner came with a show, complete with jazz music, acrobats, a comedian, and a magician. The restaurant’s “dinner is a dream” slogan surely was appropriate for this one-of-a-kind meal.

Following dinner, the athletes were transported to The Sphere for the Backstreet Boys concert, where they were given a private meet-and-greet with the group ahead of the show.

The Backstreet BoysAJ McLean even gave the athletes a shout-out from the stage. He told the audience, “Tonight, you are in the presence of greatness. You are in the presence of the most talented ladies… ever. The U.S. Ladies Winter Olympics Team is here tonight. Congratulations ladies. It’s an honor and a privilege to have you in the audience tonight!”

AJ also gave a shout-out to Flavor Flav, who he says FaceTimed him one day asking him to host the athletes at the show. “He has been a massive, massive supporter of these ladies… Thank you Flav for all your support,” he said.

The athletes were back in the SHE Lounge on Saturday morning for more panels and activations, followed by some fun activities throughout the city.

Some of the athletes went to Grand Prix Plaza for the world’s largest immersive F1 attraction, where guests can get behind the wheel on a section of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. And some athletes attended a matinee performance of KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at the MGM Grand.

While backstage at the show, figure skaters Alysa Liu, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, and Amber Glenn all learned some of the dance techniques from the performers!

Saturday night’s entertainment was an Ed Sheeran concert at Allegiant Stadium. The Grammy-winning singer was in town for his Loop Tour and hosted all of the athletes at the show that night!

The fun didn’t end there though!

Some of the athletes who were still in town on Sunday attended Clique Hospitality’s closing celebration at the all-new Tailgate Beach Club at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The celebration will coincide with a watch party for the final soccer game on one of the Las Vegas Strip’s largest outdoor sports viewing experiences.

Anyone who was lucky enough to attend the event knows how important and necessary it was to show women in sports that they matter too. Celebrations like this haven’t happened before, but hopefully they’ll continue to exist in the future. Flav has already stepped to the table. Hopefully more will join him!

The stars seem to agree.

Madison Chock wrote on Instagram, “Big thank you to @flavorflavofficial and the entire @flavorflavsshe team, who put on an incredible weekend honoring women in sports. Your desire to shine a light on female athletes and the accomplishments of Olympians and Paralympians was incredibly impactful. We’re so grateful for all the experiences you curated for us, we had an unforgettable weekend! Let’s do it again soon!”

We can’t wait to see what Flav does next.
