Inde Navarrette Opens Up About Joining Marvel’s New ‘X-Men’ Movie, Promises to Bring Rogue ‘Justice’

The 25-year-old Obsession star was announced to be playing Rogue at Disney’s D23 back in August.
In a new interview, Inde talked about preparing for the superhero role and wanting to do it justice.
“I’m doing everything humanly possible because I love that character. I’ve studied that character. I want to do it justice for myself, for Jake, for what they want to portray and also for what I as a fan want her to be like. I’m doing everything, exclamation point.” – Inde Navarrette via LA Times
Also joining the cast of the new X-Men are Sadie Sink, who was introduced as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Kit Connor, Christopher Abbott, Samara Weaving, Maya Boyd, and Adam Driver in the upcoming movie, which is being directed by Thunderbolts* helmer Jake Schreier.
The only other actress who has played Rogue on the big screen before Inde is Anna Paquin, who portrayed the character in X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Rogue was first introduced in the 1981 comic, The Avengers Annual #10. She is a mutant with the capability of absorbing the life force, attributes, memories, and superpowers of anyone through physical touch. Rogue also holds the abilities of superhuman strength, speed, durability, and flight.
