CBS is debuting its inaugural special America’s Tailgate soon!

The brand-new event from Nashville will air as a Labor Day special on Monday (September 7) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and on streaming.

CBS Sports’ Melanie Collins will co-host with CBS Mornings and CBS Sports’ The NFL Today analyst Nate Burleson, along with feature correspondent Whitney Cummings. John Legend and Sheryl Crow will perform along with many other special performances and guest appearances.

How to stream America’s Tailgate

If you’re planning to watch America’s Tailgate on live television, all you need to do is change the channel to CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Monday night, September 7, 2026. It is listed as airing for two hours, from 8:00-10:00 p.m.

Those interested in streaming the special will be able to watch the show on Paramount+, but there are differences between Premium plan subscribers and those who subscribe to Paramount+ Essential.

• Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers will have access to stream via the live feed, as well as on-demand
• Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live, but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs

What is America’s Tailgate?

The new special event is meant to be a nationwide tailgate party to celebrate to the upcoming start of the 2026 NFL regular season, which is kicking off this Wednesday, September 9.

It’s described as a way to ignite football fever in fans and celebrate the sport alongside performances and special guests.

“The best thing about summer ending is football starting, and America’s Tailgate delivers on celebrating that awesome moment in sport, culture and fun,” said Jesse Sisgold, president of Paramount Sports Entertainment and Skydance Sports. “The event will bring the party to Nashville this season, pulling together music, food, football and, most importantly, the fans, for a special celebration for audiences worldwide to enjoy.”
