Garth Brooks‘ daughter Allie Colleen is facing backlash for the way she paid tribute to Dolly Parton.

Allie is the 30-year-old daughter of Brooks and his ex-wife Sandy Mahl. She took to Instagram after Parton‘s death to share the “greatest fear” she has about one day losing her father.

“My greatest fear in life is the day my Dad loses his life and I have to see the world mourn a man they never knew the way I knew him.. To the personal family and friends of Mrs. Dolly you all have my condolences today and forever going forward — what a huge, beautiful, special life to have loved and to grieve. Thank you for sharing her with us all,” Allie wrote.

The post has received criticism in the comments.

Fans have called Allie out for making Dolly‘s death all about her.

“So you fear that people will do the same thing you’re doing right now? Talking about yourself in such moment is so weird and self-centred,” one person said.
