Former child star Jonathan Taylor Thomas was apparently detained by police on Monday (September 21).

What reportedly happened with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and the police this week?

The 45-year-old former Home Improvement actor was riding as a passenger in a vehicle that day when police pulled over the driver in Westlake Village, California.

It is said that police asked him to stay in the vehicle and apparently, he got out of the car. TMZ is reporting that Jonathan Taylor “refused and was uncooperative,” seemed possibly under the influence of alcohol and “resisted.”

He apparently was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, and was held on Monday before being released.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas has kept a low profile over the years

In the past decade, Jonathan was only spotted a couple of times. He was seen out for dinner in 2013 and then walking his dogs in 2021.

In July, Home Improvement actress Patricia Richardson shared a photo she snapped with Jonathan (in glasses) and fellow cast member Taran Noah Smith. They played her sons on the show. Zachery Ty Bryan, who played the third son on the show, is currently in jail serving a 16-month sentence after pleading guilty to a felony DUI charge.
