Florence Pugh & Marisa Tomei Attend ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Premiere in London

Florence Pugh shimmers while hitting the white carpet at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Wednesday (July 29) in London, England.

Marisa Tomei, who has played Aunt May in the last three films, was also in attendance, and they were both seen posing for photos with Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Earlier this month, Marvel boss Kevin Feige teased that Florence will likely be appearing as Yelena Belova in the upcoming movie.

“If you’re a fan of Yelena, wait until Avengers: Doomsday. Yelena plays a big part in that,” he said. “But if you don’t want to wait until then, you might see Yelena a little bit sooner in the movies.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is, of course, the only Marvel movie set to be released before Doomsday comes out in December.

At the premiere, Marisa reunited with her on-screen nephew, Tom Holland, and the two shared a sweet moment. She was also seen posing with longtime friend Dan Bucatinsky!

Marisa‘s character, Aunt May, sadly died in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but she is credited with an appearance in Brand New Day. However, it is being said that just her voice is used.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton and his wife, Nikki Chapman, also stepped out for the London premiere.

Following the first press screenings and review embargo, Destin is being praised for his work on the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise, with many hailing it as the best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2.

Christopher Gallardo shared on Twitter/X, “Destin Daniel Cretton brings a strong story with many moving parts,” while Anthony Gagliardi says, “Destin Daniel Cretton crafts a bold and mature take on our favourite web-head.”
