FKA twigs Is Free to Speak About Shia LaBeouf Abuse Allegations After NDA Dispute Is Resolved

FKA twigs has resolved her latest legal dispute with ex Shia LaBeouf.
The 38-year-old singer and actress is now free to speak publicly about her alleged experiences with the 40-year-old actor after the two resolved a dispute over NDA provisions in their previous settlement.
According to an October 5 filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court, twigs requested that her latest case against Shia be dismissed after the two resolved the dispute.

As part of the resolution, Shia agreed that the disputed nondisclosure provisions “are terminated and void,” according to the court filing obtained by People. The agreement allows twigs to speak about her alleged experiences and support charitable causes “without fear of reprisal.”
Her attorney Mathew Rosengart told the outlet that the resolution “completely frees her to discuss her experience,” as well as advocate for other women and support charitable organizations.
Shia‘s lawyer Shawn Holley also confirmed that the dispute had ended.
“Shia wishes twigs nothing but the best in her life and career and, to that end, has agreed to end their long-standing dispute,” she told People.

Why Did FKA twigs Sue Shia LaBeouf Again?
FKA twigs initially sued Shia in December 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress, among other claims. He denied the allegations. The former couple dated from around July 2018 until May 2019.
The two reached a settlement in 2025, but another dispute later developed over whether twigs was allowed to discuss her alleged experiences publicly.
In March, we reported that twigs had filed a new lawsuit challenging the nondisclosure terms in their settlement.
According to her amended complaint, Shia had filed an arbitration demand against her in December 2025 after she was asked in an interview whether she felt safe.
“No, I wouldn’t say I feel safe,” she responded at the time. She also discussed her desire to work with organizations that support survivors.
Shia alleged those comments violated the confidentiality provisions in their settlement and sought monetary damages, according to her complaint. FKA twigs argued that the provisions were unlawful under California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act, which restricts confidentiality agreements involving sexual misconduct claims.
She asked the court to declare those provisions unlawful and void. The latest agreement resolves that dispute, and twigs has requested that the case be dismissed.
