Finding Her Edge fans, get excited!!!

The Netflix ice dancing series was picked up for a second season earlier this year, and now we have a couple of brand new updates.

It was just revealed on Friday (August 14) that production on season two is set to begin later this month!

What is Finding Her Edge about?

The series follows the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. As middle sister, seventeen-year-old Adriana trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden, while still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie. Her life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.

Finding Her Edge is, of course, based on the book of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli.

“I am over the moon at the reception Finding Her Edge has received by viewers all over the world,” she previously shared after the season two announcement. “To see my book come to life and watch the world fall in love with my characters has been a dream come true, and now that dream gets to continue with a Season 2! I can’t wait for audiences to see what’s in store for Adriana, Brayden, Freddie, and the rest of Team Russo!”

Who is returning for season two?

In addition to the production start, Netflix confirmed that three stars will for sure be returning to reprise their roles.

Madelyn Keys – RETURNING

Madelyn Keys will be reprising her role as Adriana Russo in season two!

“Adriana is the middle sister of the Russo skating dynasty. She’s scrappy, determined, and resilient, with the weight of the world on her shoulders and a latent fire in her belly waiting to be unleashed when she returns to the ice.”

Cale Ambrozic – RETURNING

Cale Ambrozic has been confirmed to reprise his role as Brayden Elliot.

“Brayden is confident, brash, and achingly handsome. A supremely talented ice dancer whose partner recently quit the sport, Brayden is a hot commodity and he knows it. He’s a bit of a showboat and a sore loser, but he’s also got the talent to back it up.”

Olly Atkins – RETURNING

Olly Atkins will also be returning for season two, reprising his role as Freddie O’Connell.

“Freddie is sincere, stoic, and kind. He was totally blind-sided when Adriana stopped skating with him, suddenly cutting him out of a family he felt was his own. But upon returning to Russo Rink, Freddie can’t fight the feelings of attraction and deep love for Adriana.”
