Chase Stokes to Join AMC NASCAR Drama 'Thunder Road' - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Chase Stokes is preparing his next role after Outer Banks.
The 33-year-old actor inked a deal to join the cast of AMC‘s Thunder Road, Deadline reported Tuesday (June 23).
Chase will be joining Dennis Quaid in the cast of the NASCAR drama, set to film this summer and premiere next year on AMC and AMC+.
Thunder Road “follows the multi-generational saga of the fictional Whitlock family, whose legacy in stock car racing is as deep as the family’s ties to the Southern hill country roots that shaped them,” per the report.
Chase will play Ronnie Whitlock, who “leads with an outlaw smile and a devil-may-care attitude, a fire burning within him. A rebel with a lead foot, he was a promising pro racer before his troublemaking got him bounced from the game and relegated to his cousin Trey’s pit crew.”
Dennis stars as racing legend Duane Whitlock aka The Wrecking Ball, “a towering figure who built a racing empire from a legacy of moonshine runs and dirt tracks and refuses to let it die.”
The show marks the first long-form drama to partner with NASCAR officially, and was greenlit back in April. Stay tuned for additional casting details and release date announcements.
