The first teaser trailer for the indie movie Josephine has been released.
Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan star alongside breakout child actress Mason Reeves in the new film, which won both the U.S. Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Look back at photos of the team at the premiere!
Based on writer/director/producer Beth de Araújo’s own lived experiences, Josephine follows the psychological fallout after eight-year-old Josephine (Reeves) witnesses a crime in Golden Gate Park. As she acts out, her parents (Tatum and Chan) struggle with helping their daughter cope, while facing their own fears around the topic and how to address it with their child.
The movie already has 89 reviews listed on Rotten Tomatoes and has been receiving nearly universal acclaim with a 97% ratings. Also starring in the film are Philip Ettinger, Syra McCarthy, and Eleanore Pienta.
Josephine is going to be released in select theaters on November 20 and nationwide on December 4. In addition to starring in the film, Channing and Gemma are among the producers on the project.
It was recently announced that Channing will be starring in a third movie for one of his popular franchises!
