Britney Spears‘ sons Sean Preston and Jayden James are trying to help her out.

Over the weekend, it was reported that the pop star had voluntary checked herself into rehab and now a source has told People that her sons, Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, played a “big part” in getting her into treatment.

“She was very upset and shaken after her arrest. And she’s terrified of going to jail. It’s taken weeks for her to realize that going to rehab is the best option,” the source said.

Britney was arrested in March for driving under the influence in California.

The insider continued, “Her team has pushed for treatment since her arrest. People around her do care a lot and are constantly trying to support her, but it can be difficult. There have been a lot of concerns since the arrest.”

They added that her sons “were a big part of getting her to rehab. They’ve been clear with her. They just want her to be healthy.”

Earlier on Monday (April 13), Britney‘s ex-husband Kevin Federline, who she shares Sean and Jayden with, broke his silence on her decision to voluntarily go to rehab.

“Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was,” he said via his attorney.
