Country music is making history on the Billboard Hot 100!

For the first time in its history the top five is composed of all country songs! Considering the Billboard Hot 100 launched in 1958, it is a pretty impressive feat.

For the chart dated August 8, Billboard listed hits from Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, and more.

Ella is having a very successful summer. In July, she also broke a Billboard record previously held by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

The top 5 has come very close to getting all country hits before, with the September 9, 2023 chart coming in with four out of five spots, including Luke Combs, Kacey Musgraves, and Oliver Anthony Music. But this August marks a historic occasion.

Speaking of Taylor‘s music, her team has reportedly filed copyright claims against the Donald Trump administration’s usage of her music on select TikTok videos, as several of them have had her songs removed.
