'Anna Pigeon' Renewed for Season 2 at USA Network

Anna Pigeon is officially coming back for another season!

USA Network announced on Wednesday (October 7) that the mystery drama, starring Tracy Spiridakos, has been renewed for Season 2.

The news comes just two days before the Season 1 finale airs on Friday (October 9) at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.

The renewal follows a strong first season for the series.

According to USA Network, Anna Pigeon became the network’s highest-rated original scripted series premiere in nearly eight years. The premiere averaged 2.35 million viewers within seven days, and the show has reached 18 million total viewers so far.

“Anna Pigeon has connected with audiences in a meaningful way, bringing a compelling new heroine and a fresh perspective to USA Network,” Versant’s Michael Sluchan, said in a statement.

“We’re thrilled to continue Anna’s journey with Tracy, Morwyn, Lea and our incredible partners at Cineflix.”

Showrunner Morwyn Brebner also celebrated the news.

“It’s been really thrilling to see audiences fall in love with Anna and come to the park every week,” she said, adding, “We cannot wait to get back outside for Season 2.”

The series is based on Nevada Barr‘s bestselling Anna Pigeon novels and follows Tracy as the title character, a former city resident who becomes a national park ranger after a major loss changes her life.

As she tries to move forward, Anna finds herself investigating crimes that happen across national park grounds.

Season 1 also stars Paulina Alexis, Ronnie Rowe, Tricia Helfer, Kim Coates, Crystle Lightning, Cooper Levy, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Ryan Northcott, Nikki Rae Hallow, Jordan Sledz and Melanie Scrofano.

USA Network has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 2.
