Anna Camp Addresses Possible 'True Blood' Reboot & Sarah Newlin's Future - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Anna Camp is weighing in on the long-running rumors surrounding a possible True Blood reboot.

The 43-year-old actress, who played Sarah Newlin on HBO’s supernatural drama, shared her thoughts while speaking to People at the MPTF’s 2026 NextGen Summer Party in Hollywood on May 31.

Anna admitted she’s heard chatter about a potential revival of the beloved vampire series, though she says she hasn’t been giving any concrete details.

“I do know, like, how cool would it be if there was a True Blood [reboot,] a second coming of such an amazing series,” she told People, reflecting on her time working on the show.

“Talk about a family, right? That was, like, the most wonderful family to be a part of, the craziest storylines, all of it, but we bonded so much. I only did three seasons of that show, but I’m still connected to all of those actors,” she shared.

The Pitch Perfect star joined True Blood in season 2 as Sarah, the outspoken wife of anti-vampire activist Steve Newlin. The character later returned in a recurring role during seasons 6 and 7.

More than a decade after the show’s finale, Anna says the cast remains close.

She recently reunited with Carrie Preston while appearing on Elsbeth and revealed she was messaging Stephen Moyer not long before the event.

“Everyone starts to cry when we run into each other because it was such a magical time, so I hope the rumors are true,” Anna said.

She also pointed out that her character is still alive, leaving the door open for a possible return if a reboot ever moves forward.

Reports first surfaced in 2020 claiming that HBO was developing a True Blood reboot, though no official updates have been announced since then.
