Alix Earle Breaks Her Silence on What Caused Alex Cooper Feud, Admits She’s ‘Scared’ of & Feels ‘Betrayed’ by ‘Call Her Daddy’ Host

Alix Earle is finally sharing her side of the story about what led to her feud with Alex Cooper.

If you didn’t know, Alix, 25, previously launched her Hot Mess podcast under the 32-year-old Call Her Daddy host’s Unwell Network in 2023. Two years later, their partnership came to an end when Alix‘s podcast was dropped.

Then this past April, Alix reignited feud rumors when she reposted a TikTok calling Alex the “Grim Reaper.” Alex directly addressed Alix, asking her to publicly share what their “beef is.” At the time, Alix responded, “OK on it!!” but didn’t share any further details…until now.

On Friday (September 4), season one of Alix‘s family’s new reality show, Earle Meets World, dropped on Netflix. In the season finale, Alix finally addressed her feud with Alex.

Alix admits she’s “scared” of Alex

In a conversation with her dad Thomas “TJ” Earle, Alix said that she felt “betrayed” by Alex, and admitted that she was afraid to speak out against her.

“I just get scared because everyone tells me not to fight with her,” Alix claimed. “Because they always win and they always come out on top. She even said to me, ‘You don’t want to go to war with me.’”

“I know no matter what I’ll say, people will have a problem with this,” she continued. “She’s probably going to have a problem with this and attack me after or twist and manipulate whatever she wants to say about me. That’s scary. That’s where I’m like, ‘Should I be doing this?’ But I know what I’m signing myself up for.”

Alix claims she learned her podcast was dropped through the media

Alix also claimed that she found out her Hot Mess podcast was dropped by Alex‘s Unwell Network through the media.

“I’m just intimidated,” Alix said. “I don’t know what she’s going to do or how she’s going to twist things. I always hope that karma or something would do its thing one day and, um, karma’s taking awhile.”

On the many factor that went “wrong” with Alex

Alix went on to claim that both “personality” and “work things” went “wrong” in her relationship with Alex.

“There [were] just constantly issues. It just wasn’t run properly,” she said. “It wasn’t what I was promised or told it was going to be like working with them.”

TJ then chimed in to add, “One of the primary reasons that we ultimately ended up going with Unwell for Alix’s podcast was one, because she looked up to Alex Cooper and two, Alex Cooper would be able to mentor Alix in the business, in the podcasting business. And show her how to put together a show and give her all the resources to produce and develop a great show.”

He claimed, “We knew what they promised us and then when they came in way below what they promised us, we were kind of like, ‘I guess this is how you produce a podcast.’ You sit on your bed with a camera that they sent you and you film it yourself. There’s no production crew, there’s nothing. … We come to find out, because Alix has other friends that do podcasts, that they are actually given real resources to produce a show. They have a producer. They have people that are helping them film and set up lighting and things like that. Alix had none of that, she was doing all of this by herself. Traveling around with suitcases full of cameras and then setting ‘em all up by herself.”

TJ explained that the expenses were taken out of his daughter’s show’s revenue with the leftover profit being split between Alix and Unwell.

“I don’t even care about the money or the contracts,” Alix said. “Then once we worked with them again — because I felt pressured into signing with them again, so I did — they said, ‘OK, hire your own people for the show. We are taking everyone off.’ They didn’t invite me to events. They didn’t talk to me. They didn’t come up to meetings anymore. I’m like, ‘Why am I paying you to do something I’m not even happy doing and you’re not even giving me any support and I feel scared of you?’”

She continued, “There’s like personality, and then there’s like work things. And both things went wrong. For example, from the start, I didn’t realize things were going wrong because I was obsessed with her. I was like, ‘This is my idol. I’m so happy to work with her.’ And then constantly felt taken advantage of and used and mistreated and manipulated.”

Alix claims Alex “took advantage” of her “admiration”

Alix looked back at appearing on Alex‘s Call Her Daddy podcast in January 2025 and feeling “so exited” at the time.

“She sold me on a dream that she was going to protect me and look out for me and I feel like she took advantage of my admiration of her and she used that to her advantage,” Alix alleged.

In another scene, Alix claimed that after they had been drinking, Alex started asking her “really sexual” questions.

“I’m imagining myself in her shoes. To take someone in college, who is young and impressionable, you know looks up to you. And then ask them these raunchy questions which I was definitely a little bit comfortable with,” Alix said in a confessional. “Part of that was stuff I had asked to be taken out after the interview. And she was like, ‘Oh I think it’s so funny.’ And it’s stuff that I didn’t necessarily want to live on the internet forever. So that definitely hurt me. Or, it hurts now. In the moment, I just was like, ‘She’s looking out for me.’”

While speaking to her family, Alix became emotional when she said that “things [Alex] put out there [is] stuff [she] can never take back.”

“My kids are going to see that and it took a toll on all of us,” Alix said. “After that interview when we talked about our family experience, I cried to her. I was like, ‘Thanks this meant so much to me. I really looked up to you and I’m so happy I got to share this story.’ It just makes me feel like a f**king loser. I was so excited and happy and I thought I was doing something so good and I did something so hurtful to all of us.”

Alix claims Alex tried to “get dirt” on her

In an another scene, Alix claimed that Alex reached out to her college friend to “get dirt” on her.

“Someone that I’m friends with told me that Alex Cooper DM’d her the other day asking to get on the phone to talk about me,” Alix told her mom Alisha. “Alex Cooper DM’d [censored], asking to get on the phone and talk to her. … Reaching out to someone I went to college with to try and get dirt on me?”

On her stepmom’s affair with former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer

While looking back at her appearance on Call Her Daddy, Alix acknowledged that she implicated more than just herself when she opened up about her family’s complicated history, specifically in regard to her step mom Ashley Dupré.

Before Ashley married TJ in 2013, she was involved in a highly-publicized sex scandal with former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. An FBI investigation named Ashley as an escort Spitzer had hired in 2008. That same year, she and TJ had an affair, which led to the end of his marriage to Alisha.

In a confessional, Ashley said, “When Alix went on Call Her Daddy and brought up, you know, all of the things from my past, I felt like I lost my spark. Because for 17 years I’ve literally … worked so hard on my life, about doing the right thing by my stepkids, by my kids.”

She also noted that she was less upset about what Alix said, but was more hurt by what was left out of the conversation with Alex.
