Alison Hammond Hospitalized After Abruptly Walking Off Live Show & Clutching Her Chest | Just Jared

Alison Hammond suffered a health scare live on-air.

During the Friday morning episode of the UK morning talk show, The Morning, the 51-year-old TV personality clutched her chest and abruptly walked off the set.

Her co-host then Dermot O’Leary then told viewers, “Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she’s just had to duck out. Hopefully, she’ll be back.”

However, Dermot, 53, later announced that Alison would not be returning.

Hours later, Alison took to her Instagram Story to share share an update from the hospital, reassuring fans that she’s “fine” after the incident.

Alison, who also hosts The Great British Bake Off, explained that she was getting her heart checked after “a little bit of palpitation” live on the air.

“But I think I’m okay,” she continued. “I’m hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that.”

Alison went on to say that she was touched by all the “lovely messages” she received from fans and viewers after she had to walk off The Morning.

“I’m so sorry I left you. I would never normally do that,” Alison added. “I would never leave a TV show, so you know I wasn’t very well. But hopefully I’ll be alright. The doctors are so lovely and they’re checking me out and hopefully everything’s gonna be fine.”

“Look how good I look,” she joked, still wearing her TV makeup while in a hospital gown.

Alison poked further fun at the situation, writing, “Anything to have a day off” over the video.

Earlier this year, Alison addressed Ozempic rumors as she opened up about her 150lb weight loss.
