Lauren Graham is revealing a Gilmore Girls storyline that did not really make much sense to her.

If you are not aware, the TV show ran for seven seasons, beginning in 2000. It starred Lauren and Alexis Bledel as mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory.

During the Tuesday (October 6) episode of Hey Dude… The ’90s Called! hosted by Christine Taylor and David Lascher, Lauren revealed a plotline from season five of the series where Rory and Lorelai become temporarily estranged.

Rory ends up dropping out of Yale and living with her grandparents, which Lorelai was adamantly against.

About the storyline, Lauren said, “It was hard to play. I remember asking [series co-creator Amy Sherman-Palladino], I was like, ‘I don’t think people like this and … it’s hard to justify.’”

She said this plotline – which spanned multiple episodes in season five – seemed “out of character.”

And if you want to know what happens, Rory and Lorelai do end up making up and Rory goes on to re-enroll in Yale.

The three actors who played Rory’s boyfriends on the show revealed their answer to the question about who her best boyfriend was!
