Donnie Wahlberg Gets Emotional While Thanking New Kids on the Block Fans During Las Vegas Residency

Donnie Wahlberg got emotional while addressing New Kids on the Block fans during the group’s Las Vegas residency.

The 57-year-old singer was visibly moved onstage at Dolby Live at Park MGM as he thanked the longtime fans, known as Blockheads, who have continued supporting the group more than four decades after they formed.

In footage provided to Just Jared, Donnie reminded the crowd that the five members of NKOTB are only part of what makes the shows special.

“There are five gentlemen on the stage,” he told the audience. “The New Kids are not complete without all of you.”

He continued by joking about fans following the group’s rehearsals online before turning serious.

“I know you love seeing pictures of us rehearsing on Instagram. We know you love that stuff,” he said. “But this stage, this building, every stage we play in, every place we go, it is never complete without all of you.”

Donnie then thanked the crowd as he became emotional.

“We thank you. We love you, we adore you, we cherish you, we respect you, we appreciate you,” he said before telling the audience, “Let’s go.”

The emotional moment comes as New Kids on the Block continue the final October stretch of their The Right Stuff Las Vegas residency.

The group is performing eight shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM this month, with remaining concerts scheduled for October 7, 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17.

Ahead of the final run, Donnie admitted that saying goodbye to the residency would be emotional for the group.

The residency originally launched in 2025 and was later extended through 2026 following strong demand. MGM previously said the Vegas production was designed specifically for Dolby Live with large-scale elements that could not be taken on the road.
