The racing sport is in the middle of a triple header, with the next race taking place in Malaysia with the 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia on Sunday (October 4).
This weekend serves as a rescheduled race in a different location after two races in the Middle East were canceled back in April due to the war.
So, what time does the F1 race start today, and how can you watch?

Where is the Formula 1 race this weekend?
The 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia will take place Sunday (October 4) at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
This is the first F1 race at the track in nine years, taking the place of the Bahrain Grand Prix that was originally scheduled for April 12th at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain.
The last time the race was held at Sepang was in 2017, and Max Verstappen won that year during his first full season at Red Bull. It also marked his second ever win in Formula 1.

What time is the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia?
The official race start time is set for 3 pm local time, which is 3 am ET for those in the US.
This weekend’s race will consist of 56 laps, with the circuit length being 5.543 km, or 3.444 miles.
Where can you watch the F1 race this weekend?
F1 fans in the US can tune in to the race on Apple TV, with pre-race coverage starting at 1:50 am ET. Outside of the US, fans can tune in to F1TV at the same times.

Who is starting on pole and what is the starting lineup?
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen clinched pole position during qualifying and will start in P1, followed by Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton in P2 and Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar in P3. This follows a double Red Bull podium in Azerbaijan the weekend before!
