Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out for a lunch date as their family settles into an extended stay in the U.K.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed holding hands while arriving at The Falkland Arms on Thursday (October 1). Published by The Sun the following day, the pictures show the couple together in Britain for the first time since their family’s August return, according to People.
For the afternoon outing, Meghan paired a black sweater and dark pants with white sneakers and sunglasses. Harry also opted for a casual look, wearing jeans, a jacket, and sunglasses. His Santa Barbara Fire Department baseball cap brought a little California into his countryside wardrobe.

Their lunch destination sits in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, in the Cotswolds. According to the outlets, Meghan ordered gluten-free beer-battered haddock and chips, accompanied by mushy peas and tartar sauce. Harry chose chicken, ham, and leek pie with mashed potatoes, seasonal greens, and gravy.
“When they visited, Harry and Meghan just acted like locals,” a pub source told The Sun.
The outing comes amid a period of adjustment for the family. People reports that Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are attending school in the U.K., while Meghan has been focused on helping them settle in.
