Halle Berry's Ex Olivier Martinez Files for Restraining Order, Claims She Physically Attacked Their 12-Year-Old Son | Just Jared

Halle Berry is facing some very serious accusations.

On Thursday (October 1), TMZ reported that the 60-year-old Oscar-winning actress’ ex-husband Olivier Martinez has filed a temporary restraining order against her, alleging that she attacked their 12-year-old son Maceo.

The 60-year-old French actor claims that Halle physically abused their son by jumping on him, putting her hands around his neck, and choking him last Saturday (September 26).

Olivier alleges that Maceo called him and told him that Halle had allegedly physically attacked him and put him in a chokehold.

On the same day, Olivier claims that Halle threatened to have Maceo deported to France and allegedly asked their son what is he going to do “as a Black man” to protect her from being robbed by Olivier. He also claims that Halle called him a “white b****.”

The filing mentions that Maceo was at home with Halle and her fiance Van Hunt and that Maceo was playing a VR game with goggles on in his bedroom when Halle allegedly entered the room in a rage and reportedly said that Maceo looked “so stupid” and is “such an idiot” for playing the game.

The situation allegedly escalated with Olivier claiming that Halle jumped on Maceo and started physically fighting with him. Halle allegedly grabbed Maceo by the neck and started choking him while shouting, “Who is dominant now?!”

The day after the alleged incident, Halle reportedly texted Olivier and wrote, “I feel terrible about what happened last night as I know he does as well.”

Olivier also claims that this is not an isolated incident and that Halle has attacked their son several times in the past.

In the filing, Olivier claimed that five years ago, Halle allegedly struck him in the face. 10 years ago, Olivier alleges that Halle threw a plate with a knife and fork on top. More recently in 2023, while discussing child support, Halle allegedly told Maceo that Olivier was “a white b**** robbing money from a Black woman.”

Olivier now is requesting sole custody of Maceo and wants the court to force Halle to stay away from him and their son.

The filing states Halle must not drink or be under the influence of alcohol or other substances in the presence of their son. And she must undergo sobriety testing before, during or after any visitation.

However, Olivier said that he still wants Maceo to maintain a relationship with Halle, he just wants Mateo to have space after the alleged incident.

If you didn’t know, Halle and Olivier were married for two years before splitting in 2015. After a nasty legal battle, the exes finalized their divorce in August 2023 before finally reaching a co-parenting agreement in 2024.

Along with Maceo, Halle is also mom to daughter Nahla, 18, whom she shares with her former partner, model Gabriel Aubry. Just a few weeks ago, Halle spoke about Nahla going off to college.

Halle Berry has not yet publicly addressed Olivier Martinez‘s allegations.
