‘Drag Race’ Star Gottmik Arrested for DUI

Gottmik has been arrested.

On Saturday (September 26), TMZ reported that the 30-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race star, whose real name is Kade Gottlieb, was arrested earlier in the month for a DUI.

Law enforcement sources said that on September 16 at 4:50pm, Burbank Police responded to a traffic collision involving a black Porsche and multiple parked vehicles. They determined that the driver of the Porsche had collided with a parked Toyota Camry, which pushed into two additional vehicles.

The source said that Gottmik was the Porsche’s sole occupant. Police say the drag queen displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was arrested for DUI. Gottmik was released the following day.

Gottmik made history as the first trans man to compete on RuPaul’s Drag Race for season 13 where he came in 3rd/4th place with fellow contestant Rosé. Gottmik returned for season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and came in 4th place.

Many other RuPaul’s Drag Race stars have come out as trans after competing on the show.
