Carrot Top Released from Hospital After Suicide Attempt | Just Jared

Carrot Top is home with his family after his suicide attempt.

Last week, it was revealed that the 61-year-old comedian, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized in Las Vegas following a suicide attempt. At the time, his rep confirmed at the time that he was hospitalized and recovering, but did not address the circumstances that led to his hospitalization.

Now a week later, a source confirmed to People that Carrot Top is out of the hospital and back home recovering with his family. The source added that the comedian is doing well.

Amid the hospitalization, several of Carrot Top‘s comedy shows at the Luxor were canceled. He has performed at the Vegas hotel/casino for more than two decades, with his residency beginning in 2005.

Following news of his hospitalization, a rep for the hospital sent well wishes to Carrot Top.

“Scott is a beloved member of the Luxor and MGM Resorts family, and we are relieved to hear that he is recovering,” the hotel told KLAS following news of the comedian’s hospitalization. “We are thinking of him and wish him strength as he receives the care and support he needs.”
