Rosalía in Talks to Join Javier Bardem & Connor Storrie in New Movie ‘Wet’ | Just Jared

Rosalía might be adding another major acting project to her resume!

The 33-year-old Grammy-winning musician is reportedly in early talks to play a key role in Wet, an upcoming movie from Honey Boy director Alma Har’el.

Rosalía is not the only recognizable name circling the project. As we previously reported, Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie is also in talks along with Oscar winner Javier Bardem. Dune actress Rebecca Ferguson and Odessa A’zion are also reportedly in early negotiations to join the cast, according to Deadline.

None of the deals have been finalized yet, though, so the official cast has not been announced.

Specific details about their characters is still under wraps, but the project has been described as a family drama set aboard a superyacht, with comparisons being drawn to the HBO series Succession and the 2022 film Triangle of Sadness.

Alma is best known for directing the 2019 movie Honey Boy starring Shia LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, and Noah Jupe. She also created, wrote, and directed Apple TV+’s Lady in the Lake, led by Natalie Portman, and Moses Ingram.

If her deal closes, Wet would continue Rosalía‘s expansion into acting. She made her feature-film debut with a small role in Pedro Almodovar‘s 2019 movie Pain and Glory before joining season 3 of Euphoria.

If you didn’t see, Connor was recently seen on the Heated Rivalry season 2 set with his new buzzed haircut.
