Lee Pace is dishing on his role in Practical Magic 2!
In the highly-anticipated sequel to the beloved 1998 fantasy movie, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens.
As fans see in the trailer, the sisters travel to England seek the help of Ian Wright – played by Lee, 47 – who is a professor of magic.
However, when they first arrive at his place, Lee‘s character is under the effects of a curse, immobilized and nude in bed.
In a new interview with Variety, Lee went into detail what it was like film that scene, which was actually the first scene he shot for the movie!
“I’m lying on this bed, naked,” Lee said with a laugh, “and the two of them come into the room and do some magic.”
Lee admitted that he found trying to stay absolutely a bit of a challenge since he’s such a big fan of both Sandra and Nicole.
“I’m laying there with my eyes closed, hearing their voices — their beautiful, distinctive voices,” the Emmy-nominated actor recalled. “And it was definitely a moment: Wow, this is going to happen.”
While his eyes were meant to stay closed in the scene as the ladies marveled at his 6-foot-5 naked physique and try to use their powers to bring him back to life, Lee confessed, “It was impossible not to peek a little bit.”
On Wednesday (September 9), Lee joined Sandra, Nicole and fellow cast members Joey King (in a Miu Miu dress and Bvlgari jewelry), Maisie Williams, and Xolo Mariduena on SiriusXM’s Front Row for an interview about the new movie with Andy Cohen.
Practical Magic 2 hits theaters on Friday, September 11. Watch the trailer here!
