Sid Wilson Will 'No Longer Be Associated' with Slipknot 'Effective Immediately,' Band Officially Announces | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Slipknot is officially confirming that Sid Wilson is out of the band.
If you didn’t see the news, it was first reported two weeks ago that the 49-year-old DJ and keyboardist had permanently removed from the nu metal group, ending his 28-year run with the band.
In a statement released on Friday (August 14), Slipknot officially announced that Sid will “no longer be associated” with the group.
“Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson,” read a statement shared on the official Instagram account for the rockers’ music festival, Knotfest. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
In the caption, the Knotfest account added, “Slipknot have parted ways with Sid Wilson. The announcement could briefly be found on the band’s website.”

The same statement was also shared on the band’s official account, but was subsequently deleted, according to a screenshot shared by Stereogum.
As of right now, it’s unclear why Sid has been removed from Slipknot.
Sid was one of the nine original members of Slipknot. He’d been with the band since 1999 and is among the latest of the original members to leave following Chris Frehn and Craig Jones. Sadly, Joey Jordison passed away in 2021 and Paul Gray died in 2010.
The remaining OG members include Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, and Jim Root. Alessandro Venturella, Michael Pfaff, and Eloy Casagrande are also still with the band after joining in 2015, 2022, and 2024, respectively.
If you didn’t see, Sid‘s ex-fiancée Kelly Osbourne just recently shared a series of cryptic messages that appeared to be aimed at him.
