Even though Robert Irwin has been spending a significant amount of time in the United States, he has no plans on relocating.
“I love all my mates in the States, but I’m an Aussie, always will be,” Robert, 22, shared during a recent appearance on the Australian radio show Fitzy, Wippa & Kate. “I’ll always live here. I get to live in a zoo, mate. It’s pretty awesome. I wouldn’t trade that for the world.”

Back in June he was on the Jase, Lauren and Clint radio show where he talked about his love of living at the Australia Zoo and using “the tigers next door roaring” as his personal “alarm clock in the morning.”

Robert has indeed been spending lots of times in the U.S., though, having just won season 34 of Dancing with the Stars and then hosting Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro. He also returned to Australia in between the shows to co-host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
For the son of Steve Irwin, it’s important to him to cast out a wider net to further spread his passion for wildlife conservation.
His real goal remains to encourage wildlife conservation
“I’m casting this net out wider than it’s ever been to bring everyone back to conservation, to fun and passion and positivity, and that’s that. It’s the message that drives me with everything I do,” he said. “Australia Zoo, my heart beats from there, and I’ll always represent my home.”
Next up, he’ll embark on a “crocodile research expedition” in Northern Australia.
