‘Sterling Point’ Season 2? What We Know About the Prime Video Series’ Future

Sterling Point has been out for just over a week now.

The Megan Park-created series debuted on Prime Video on August 5th and is currently the streamer’s No 2 show in the US.

What is Sterling Point about?

The series is led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson. Raised in New York City with her twin brother and loving adoptive father, Annie’s life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, budding romances and untold family secrets.

If you’ve already binged the whole season, you may be wondering if you can look forward to a second season.

Sterling Point is not yet renewed for season 2

At the time of this point, Sterling Point has not been renewed for a second season.

The first season ended on multiple cliffhangers, and creator/co-showrunner Megan Park says there are multiple ways for the show to continue.

Megan told TheWrap that there’s “lots to mine” and “lots more characters” she wants to introduce should the show get a second season.

However, she and the team have yet to map out what that would look like.

“Season 1, you do spend a lot of time setting up the world, and then I do almost feel like if you get a season 2, it’s when you relax and go deeper,” Megan told Entertainment Weekly. “[Ramona and Annie] switch lives, so there’s a lot for a second season to come back to. And then there’s also the whole thing about when Ramona turns 18, what’s gonna happen with the property?”

“I would love to spend more time with the parents,” she added. “Specifically, who’s Oona’s mom? It would be so interesting to bring that character in.”

Who stars in Sterling Point?

Ella Rubin stars as Annie Jacobson, with Keen Ruffalo playing her twin brother, Connor, and Jay Duplass as her adoptive father, Steven. Also in the cast are Amélie Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Bo Bragason, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, and Missi Pyle.
