Jake Shears to Replace Luke Evans as Frank-N-Furter in ‘Rocky Horror Show,’ Kevin McHale Set for Broadway Debut as Brad

New cast members have been announced for Broadway’s The Rocky Horror Show!

It was just announced that Luke Evans, Andrew Durand, and Stephanie Hsu will be leaving the show on August 23, paving the way for new actors to play Frank-N-Furter, Brad, and Janet.

Grammy nominee Jake Shears, best known for his band Scissor Sisters, will be joining the cast as Frank-N-Furter beginning on September 11. The role will be played by Paul Soileau from August 25 through September 10, as well as some dates during Luke’s scheduled absences.

Jake was previously seen on Broadway in the musicals Kinky Boots and Cabaret. He also recently appeared in the movie Pillion, which is now streaming on HBO Max.

Glee actor Kevin McHale is set to make his Broadway debut in the role of Brad beginning on August 25. For the past year, he has been starring in the Off-Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He will be leaving that show on August 16 ahead of appearing on Broadway for the first time.

Lorna Courtney, who received a Tony nomination for her performance in Broadway’s & Juliet, has been set as the new Janet, taking over the role on August 25.
