A French man connected to Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead.
Daniel Siad, who recruited models for over a decade to meet the late sex offender, was found in his home on Monday (July 20) in the suburb of Colombes in Paris, France, per CNN.
Deputy public prosecutor Marie-Céline Lawrysz confirmed the finding to the news outlet.
He was 68 years old. There will be an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
“I trusted him and believed this guy was a professional person. I never heard anything from anyone I introduced to him who came back to me that they had a bad situation. I believed this guy is a professional person,” he had just recently said about Jeffrey Epstein in an interview with CNN, claiming he thought Jeffrey was a casting director for Victoria’s Secret and agency MC2.
In the Epstein files, there are records showing Jeffrey paid Daniel thousands of dollars. Daniel‘s name also appears over 2,000 times in the files, per BFMTV.
“Cute French girl in Marrakesh… She said that she will (be) happy to meet you,” the man wrote in one email.
There is currently a criminal investigation in Paris that is looking into Jeffrey Epstein‘s ties with the modeling industry, including information related to Daniel Siad, the city’s chief prosecutor said, via CNN.
Former Swedish model Ebba P. Karlsson previously accused him of rape while working in France in 1990, which he has denied. Watch his recent interview with CNN above.
Last month, it was found that a German model missing for almost 11 years was named in the Epstein files, who had allegedly been in contact with Daniel Siad.
