Jelly Roll Breaks Silence on Divorce While on Stage as Bunnie XO Explains What Led to Their Split - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Jelly Roll has broken his silence on his divorce from wife Bunnie XO.

While appearing on stage for a concert in upstate New York on Thursday (June 18), the country singer opened up about the “liars” on the internet.

“I wasn’t going to talk about this tonight, but while we’re talking about liars, the Internet is a liar too,” he began.

Jelly continued, “It’s the only time, and the only city I’m gonna speak about this. Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth. That will be my best friend forever… Bunnie, I love you, baby. Thank you for those 10 years. They were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship and 20 beyond that.”

On the podcast, Bunnie explained what led to the split.

“On Mother’s Day we had a little bit of an argument, which I don’t think the details are necessary. I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and I said, ‘Well, then file the f–king divorce papers,'” she said. “And in our relationship that is the one cardinal thing that you don’t say. Even though my husband has said it numerous times ‘cause he’s the runner.”

Bunnie said that when she says something like that, it holds more weight because she’s “not the type of person who says what I don’t mean.”

Bunnie packed a bag and left their home. While they went silent on each other for a week, Jelly filed for divorce.

“During that, he was so mad and we were so emotional that he ended up doing exactly what I told him to do and filing the divorce papers. Was I blindsided? And was this divorce mutual? No, it was not mutual. Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and just frustration,” she said. “Was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely.”

Bunnie was hoping that they would work out their differences.

“He’s my best friend. I don’t care how f–ked up our relationship was—which it wasn’t that f–ked up. I don’t care how much we didn’t communicate or how things shook out. I was riding with this motherf–ker till the wheels fell off,” she said. “I didn’t care. I felt like we deserved a chance to go to therapy and figure s–t out. He didn’t feel that way and I respect it. It took me a month and a half now to respect that. But I’m so happy. So, so, so happy.”

Bunnie confirmed that Jelly is dating again already and she revealed the type of woman she wants him to be with next.
