'The Way Home' Series Finale Preview: Hallmark Releases Photos, Producers Talk Season 5 Potential - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

The time has come to say goodbye to Hallmark Channel‘s beloved series The Way Home.

The series finale episode is airing TONIGHT (June 21) on Hallmark at 9pm ET and we have all the photos released so far by the network, including shots of stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Evan Williams.

“Across generations, endings and new beginnings arrive for the Landry family and their loved ones, as the pond always brings surprises,” Hallmark teased about the episode.

Will a fifth season ever happen?

Executive producers Alexandra Clarke and Heather Conkie have addressed the hopes for a fifth season, despite Hallmark cancelling the show after four seasons.

“Well, the door is never closed,” Clarke told TV Insider.

Conkie added, “There will always be questions in our show, even near the end. So it’s always nice to leave people going, ‘Well, I wonder if … ‘”

Clarke continued, “But that being said, I think, again, one of the things that our show does is even when we do provide answers, there’s always a question mark at the end of those answers. Those answers beget questions. And I don’t think our finale will be any different, but there certainly will be answers, and hopefully satisfying ones. That’s the whole point.”

What can you expect for the finale?

Sadie told TV Insider, “I think the fans of the show will be really happy in the way that our showrunners and our writers are so in tune with what’s important to keep the show feeling like it’s The Way Home that we all know and love. I also think that I’m really proud of what we did and it doesn’t take away from the magic of what is a season finale for this story, too, because we’re building towards so many exciting moments for the season, not just the series, all the things that people want to have tied up.”

Evan said, “The fact that we were able to stick the landing after four seasons is just a dream come true and the fact that so many people around the world can now see it, I couldn’t be happier.”

Chyler is teasing the tears that will come.

“Have your Kleenex. Have some wine and really, really good company,” she said.
