Sutton Stracke Reveals Son Philip Plans to Join Priesthood After Graduating College - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

One of Sutton Stracke‘s sons is getting ready to join the priesthood.

During a recent appearance on Radio Andy, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that her son Philip, 22, intends to enter a seminary and become a priest. Philip‘s decision comes after he just recently graduated from The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina.

Sutton admitted that she “cried” when her son told her about his plans, noting how “big” the decision is for him to go to seminary school.

“It was such a big decision,” she said. “You’re in seminary school for six years, and then you become a deacon of the church, and then you join the priesthood.”

Along with Philip, Sutton also shares daughter Porter, 24, and son James, 19 with ex-husband Christian Stracke.

Later in the conversation, Sutton shared the “positive outlook” her son has on this priesthood plans.

“He’s like, ‘If it doesn’t work out, I can leave,’ which I thought was a good positive outlook on it because you learn a lot in seminary,” she said.

Before Philip started school, Sutton shared on a 2022 episode of RHOBH that her eldest son wanted to join the army because he had grown up “too comfortable.”

“You know, he lives a nice life,” she shared. “I said, ‘Oh, well, I’ll make you uncomfortable then.’ I sent him to Georgia when it was gonna be 105 degrees with 100 percent humidity. I made him get a job. He had to be there at 5:30 in the morning to deliver vending machine Cokes and stuff.”

Sutton continued, “A month later, when I picked him up, he wanted to go to college.”
