Simon Cowell Is Temporarily Leaving 'America’s Got Talent' for Several Weeks: Reason Why Revealed | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Simon Cowell is about to leave America’s Got Talent for the next few weeks.
The 66-year-old series judge will be undergoing a “routine procedure related to his back,” according to TMZ.
The outlet stresses that it’s a “routine procedure” and not anything to do with a new health issue. If you’ll recall, Simon got into a serious electric bike accident in 2020, requiring surgery.
He is scheduled to have back surgery “soon” amid his history of back issues ever since. As a result, he’ll need to sit out several weeks from the show.
As of right now, we don’t know who will be filling in for him, nor a return date. He has not yet spoken out about the absence.
Simon shared an update on his recovery after breaking his back in bike accident.
“The first four weeks were the hardest,” Simon recalled to Entertainment Tonight. “Because you feel kind of helpless, and it was the first time in my life I’ve ever felt helpless…Then you’re bored and frustrated, and I was in so much pain, if I’m being honest with you.”
Lauren Silverman recently reflected on becoming pregnant with her now fiancé Simon Cowell‘s child while married to her ex husband Adam. Simon and Lauren welcomed their son, Eric, in February of 2014. At the time, it was said Simon was friends with Adam. Find out what she said.
