Sienna Miller did not mean for her daughter Marlowe, 14, to go viral last week.
If you did not see, the 44-year-old Golden Globe-nominated actress made a rare red carpet appearance with her teenage daughter at the world premiere of her new series War on Wednesday (September 16) in London, England.
If you didn’t know, Sienna shares Marlowe with ex-fiancé Tom Sturridge.
In a new interview, Sienna spoke out about Marlowe‘s moment.
While on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Sienna clarified, “Well, Marlowe didn’t actually walk the red carpet with me. She came with her friend. My mom was also there. And then there it was 5 seconds at the end where she like came to give me a hug and totally mogged me.”
Sienna added, “But I think I somewhat regret it because I didn’t expect, and I don’t think she expected that that would have the response that it got. And I think I’m going to be sending her away to a nunnery for the next four years till she can emerge as an actual adult.”
She continued, “It was not what was planned. It was not intentional. And she is extraordinarily beautiful, but that’s kind of the least interesting thing about Marlowe. She’s so clever and she’s so funny and she’s still my little girl.”
So, don’t expect to see Marlowe at any other red carpet events: “So, I don’t know that we’re going to be doing more red carpets, which she kind of popped on at the end. It was 5 seconds and yeah, I was, I was slightly concerned.”
