Shaboozey is Joined By Gunna for MTV VMAs 2026 Performance | Just Jared

Shaboozey was joined by a special guest for his performance during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 27) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old entertainer hit the stage to perform two songs off of his latest album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales.

He opened with “Cowgirl,” before transitioning to “High Noon,” when he was joined by collaborator Gunna!

Shaboozey‘s performance was introduced by Summer House‘s Ciara Miller, who stars in the music video for “Cowgirl.”

“This next artist has a voice and style so unique that it feels like he created a genre all his own,” she said. “For his new album, he was inspired by the Western movies he loves, especially his admiration for strong female characters. So naturally, he called me. He’s been on a killer run. Here is Shaboozey featuring Gunna!”

Earlier in the night, Ciara was joined on the carpet by her close friend and Summer House star Mia Calabrese. She also revealed to Entertainment Tonight that her Dancing with the Stars partner Brandon Armstrong was her date for the night.
