Nicki Minaj and Trump’s ongoing alliance isn’t going anywhere, and Minaj made that abundantly clear during a recent Fox News appearance.

The rapper joined Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle Friday, alongside Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler, and when the conversation turned to her relationship with Trump, Minaj didn’t hold back.
When asked what she says to critics of the partnership, she was blunt: “Absolutely nothing.”
She added that she feels honored to work with the administration, describing Trump as “smart, fun, grounded, and easy to connect with.”
“I just love him!” she said, making it clear she has no intention of making excuses for the relationship.
This latest TV appearance comes on the heels of Minaj’s growing list of ties to the Trump administration. As BOSSIP previously reported, she was recently tapped to serve as a judge for the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition, a Shark Tank-style event held in Washington, D.C., that awarded a share of $1 million to five entrepreneurs. Minaj celebrated the opportunity on X at the time, writing, “This is a major, MAJOR KEY. Sooooooooooo looking forward to this!!! Imagine being a part of the Trump Administration’s initiative to support small businesses.”
Trump himself has praised Minaj publicly on multiple occasions, once calling her “so respected and so hot and so great” during a White House Rose Garden lunch, and referring to her as a “great friend.”
Nicki Minaj And Trump’s Friendship Is Not For Concerts
Despite her openness about the relationship, Minaj made clear during the Fox News interview that she has no plans to turn her upcoming tour into a political platform. She agreed with Ingraham’s sentiment that politics don’t belong at her shows, explaining that her concerts are meant to be about fun, connection, and appreciating life rather than delivering political messages to fans.
Though she didn’t name him directly, her comments land amid ongoing controversy involving Macklemore, whose pro-Palestine remarks onstage during his run with Ed Sheeran sparked significant backlash. Minaj’s stance seems to draw a clear line between her personal political alignment and how she chooses to engage with fans during performances.
This isn’t the first time Minaj’s connection to the Trump world has generated conversation. As previously reported, she made headlines earlier this year for a bizarre impersonation video mocking Dr. Anthony Fauci, paired with a lengthy X rant criticizing his pandemic-era record. She also directed pointed comments at Joy Reid around the same time, continuing a pattern of aligning herself publicly with narratives favored by Trump and his allies.
As for new music, Minaj said fans shouldn’t expect a tour announcement anytime soon. She explained that she plans to hit the road only after releasing her next body of work; however, she was unclear on when that would be. For now, she says she’s fully focused on what she calls her “businesswoman era,” a phase clearly shaped in part by her growing ties to the Trump administration.
