Nick Jonas Reveals He Auditioned for 'Frozen' and Explains Why He 'Bombed' His Audition | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Nick Jonas is opening up about his failed audition for Frozen.

During the latest episode of the Jonas Brothers‘ podcast, Hey Jonas!, they had on the stars of Frozen and other stars as they recorded the episode in their trailer at D23.

As Frozen stars Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel went on the podcast, Nick took a moment to share a “funny” story he didn’t realize he would share until that moment.

Nick Jonas talks about bombing his Frozen audition

“I auditioned for Frozen. I went in for Kristoff,” Nick revealed. “I went in, and they said, ‘Okay, what are you going to be singing today?’ I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know.’ They said, ‘What do you mean you don’t know?’ They’re like, ‘Do you have your sheet music?’ And I said, ‘No, no one told me I had… Okay, lets’…’ And so I just said, ‘Can you play something from…’ I don’t know what I said, some musical theater song.”

“And I bombed the audition. It was terrible,” he added.

Kristen said, “That must have been why you didn’t get it.”

Josh joked, “Look, I’ll say it here. You would have such better chemistry with Kristen than [Jonathan] Groff. It would be so much better.”

Nick added that he loves Jonathan Groff, who, of course, went on to voice Kristoff.

If you didn’t know, Nick and Jonathan have actually played the same character before.

Nick was a Broadway replacement for J Pierrepont Finch in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012. Jonathan also took on the role in the West End concert performance of the musical in 2015!
